This study looked at diabetic complications in a large population with a particular focus on the Under diagnosis of diabetic neuropathy.
Preliminary analysis suggests a significant underestimate of people with diabetes are screen positive for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN). Therefore, those with undiagnosed DPN have a higher risk of developing diabetic foot disease simply due to inadequate recognition.
